Wow - that was a race alright. Cat and mouse all the way. I ran very consistently but didn't quite have the legs for the battle at the end. 4th place, 15 hours 55mins. I'll take that.
Sensational run Jez, was keeping up to date between a few beers and it looked like a cracking battle... 4 blokes under 16hrs, amzing .. Looking fw to the full report.. You must be buzzing.. Cheers Keith
Well done Jez!!! What a fantastic run !!! Could not tear myself away from the webcast, amazing just watching the statistics changing, so heaven only no's what it was like to be in the middle of the action!!! Truly inspirational for all us Brit's back home!!!
Did someone say a PB by an hour!? At that level? You animal!! Man, I've been following you since your MarathonTalk podcast interview. You're a legend! You've inspired me to try some longer fell races this coming year! Can't wait to see you hand out some slaps at UTMB!
I echo everyones else comments Jez. A truly amazing race. I can't even comprehend how you guys run at that pace for 50 miles let alone continue and hold it together for another 50!!! Simply breathtaking stuff. Massive congratulations to you, Ellie (1st female), Nick and Ian. Big up the Brits!!!
Brilliant run man. Followed you throughout on the live cam, matchsticks in eyes stuff!! You went after it from the start and showed b...s. Watch out Chamonix. Up the Brits!!

ReplyDeleteHi Jez
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely awesome result. Tremendous effort. Yes third would have been great, but 4th place in the time you ran is amazingly fantastic.
Great to see the British doing so well. Ian Sharman 10th, and Ellie Greenwood, with 7 miles to go, in 3rd place.
See you on the start line at UTMB in 9 weeks time!
